• Baptized as an Episcopalian as an infant and confirmed as an adolescent

• Zen Buddhist Practitioner in Soto Zen since early 2000s (The Aurora Dharma Temple in Marquette, Michigan. A three-day retreat at Ryumonji Zen Monastery in Iowa.)

• Taught many semesters of sitting meditation at the University of Alaska Southeast

• Experienced guided meditations in past-life regressions with a psychologist with a Ph.D. in hypnotherapy

• Experienced guided meditations in future-self progressions with a Life Coach

• Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

• Informally studying with Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) Master, Jeff Noftz, for years

• Ran a Qigong workshop at the Ketchikan Library on Thursday nights for a year
